Best customer service!!

I was initially very disappointed with this product. Had it less than 1 min in the air and pressed return home button only to have the drone start climbing higher and higher and flying in the opposite direction of me. I ran after it but lost sight. After over an hour of looking I am so discouraged with it. I did speak to customer service and the lady I spoke with was extremely nice and helpful. She said they would be emailing me a code to get a replacement drone. If this company backs their word and replaces their faulty product I will gladly increase my rating for great customer service.
Not sure you could buy a better drone for the price of this one!

I’m new to drones, and actually lost my first one. This drone was a little cheaper than that one but so far, i am really happy with the ease of flight. My other drone was nearly impossible to fly unless it was dead calm. This drone can fly in a fairly decent amount of wind. I like the auto takeoff feature and once i figured out the trim options, i was able to get it to fly up and hover until i was ready to take off. The camera is also pretty decent for such a cheap drone. It took a couple attempts though to figure out that you have to pair your phone and run the app in order for pictures and video to be taken. It will not take pictures without having the phone paired and the app started. Which isn’t a big deal, but took some time to figure out. There are multiple speeds on the drone as well, and on top speed, it really flies! i never thought i’d use the flip feature but it was actually kind of fun to play with too. i’m easily able to flip the drone frontwards, backwards and sideways and it works perfectly. I would recommend flying outdoors without the blade guards. They very easily hang up on anything they touch. Trees, plants, weeds, or anything they can get tangled in they will! I haven’t flown much inside, but now that i’m getting better at controlling it, i would’t have much of an issue maneuvering it around the house. I purchased an extra battery pack that had 4 batteries and a charger so i can fly a really long time each session. I haven’t timed it, but it flies for quite a while before needing a battery swap. i have noticed that when the battery dies, it just gently sets itself down, so you want to make sure that you’re bringing it home before you run out of juice. Once it starts dropping, you can’t do anything but watch it come down.
A lot of features packed into a great price!

Got my HS200 today and was able to take it for a flight this evening. I have to get used to the controller and it is packed with so many features that I honestly will have to get extra batteries just to be able to get used to it for the first few flights. I do want to clarify something though that I didn’t see much about this drone prior to buying. I was weary of how the camera quality would be because a friend of mine got a Hubsan 507a and we fly together often. Couple of things I want to point out. 1) the camera quality on this HS200 seem much better than his even though both claim to be a 720P. And 2) I was iffy about the prop guards because his are similar in design and come loose very easy, causing it to not function because they are under the blades and require the blades to have to be removed to remove and install them. On the HS200 they fit under the blades but lock into holes under the blades and do NOT require the blades to have to be removed to install.

UPDATE: We called and emailed Holystone and they have delivered! Their customer service is outstanding! This is one of the reasons why after shopping for different quadcopter brands by reading the product reviews, the customer service factor was a huge consideration for me. So, we got the replacement 3-4 days after we called and emailed them about a problem on the trimmer with the first quadcopter sent. It definitely worked and performed way better. It took awhile before we figured out how to make it fly and try different things with it. So for those who almost or about to give up on their quadcopter, please call their customer service and they will be very happy to help you. I’m glad we did. It pays to be nice too.
Great Customer Service, Good Drone for the Price

I ordered this Drone Nov 2016 and upon receipt, the motor apparently failed to work. After a few emails back and forth with Holy Stone, they sent me a replacement and two extra batteries (they let me keep the old one for spare parts). Since I have received the new Drone, I am very happy with it. We did buy the extra battery charger pack which was a good decision because we can go out for a couple of hours and get plenty of flying in with lots of extra batteries. All in all, we’re very happy with the drone. Things to note:
Great little trainer drone

I would subtract 1 star because documentation is missing information on calibrating the gyros and other items (see below) and because of that my initial impression wasn’t that good.
assembly was really easy, just attaching the four propeller guards and you’re …

I’ve had a couple of the cheaper drones, but none with the feature set this one has, so my experience is minimal, however I am on the nerdier side of electronics.
Son Loves it

Originally I gave a bad review (see below) because the drone flew away. Holy Stone customer support contacted me and sent a new drone out to my son. I love that Holy Stone not only stood by their product but also were very friendly.

If you’re looking to learn to fly a drone with a camera this is a good choice for the price, rather than dropping $500-1000 on a DJI or the like. You’re going to crash it with learning, might as well not break the bank, too. It’s got a few features like headless mode and one button takeoff and landing that make it “not quite a toy’. Extra batteries are worth getting, though they are futzy to swap out. Integration with the app on my iPhone works well, and control and live video seem fine but I haven’t tried maxing out the range. It’s also small and light, so though no FAA registration is required, a light breeze will be enough to ground you. I also don’t think the camera is really 720p, maybe a cheap lens, or maybe the vibration causes quality issues? Not as good as other 720p still cameras I’ve used, but fine for practice. For a cheap entry into camera drones for fun, or if you want to work your way up in quality later this is a good place to start.
